A trip to the Falls

I took a drive today up to Mesa Falls. I have been wanting to go up there and take pictures all semester and I finally buckled down and went today. It was such a beautiful day!! Sightly warm and sunny. It took me about 40 minutes to get up there but it was totally worth it. I am kicking myself for not going sooner because all the beautiful fall foliage is gone now. Here are some of my favorite shots from today.

Prop 8 Has Passed!

I wont write much, but I am grateful that the one thing that mattered to me the most during this whole election process was Proposition 8 being passed. Today the news was spread that it was passed! The family is once again safe. Thank you to all who voted yes to protect that which is so sacred.

Time for Change

Well it's done. The elections are over. Barack Obama is the new President of the United States. I am very curious to see what is going to happen now in these next 4 years to come. I had a hard time really getting into politics this year and I know some of you are probably wondering why on earth not since this was one of the BIGGEST political battles ever, but I just never did. I have been so wishy washy in trying to decide who to vote for. I know that Obama has promised to make some changes that I hope he will follow through with and wasn't just saying so that he would get elected. Now that he's in I'm counting on him to make this nation a better one.

I believe that our nation needs a change and that we need someone who can step in and know what it is that needs to be done. I think with the way that things have been going these past few months, even years, we need some new fresh eyes to see what our nation needs and get us there.

The only thing that I care about really in this election is that California passes on Proposition 8 and that the family is kept how it should be. Family is something that is very important to me and it is very important to our church. I just hope and pray that the hearts of the people of California will be opened and that they will realize how important the family is as it should be, and it will be a great test for our nation to see where we stand on this issue.

Halloween and a party

Well it was that time again for the annual Halloween party at Lisa's. This years theme was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and boy was it fun! Everyone was dressed up as a character from the new Charlie movie. I was kind of a mix between both new and old.

Lisa was Willy Wonka of course, Lindy was Augustus Gloop, Stryder was an Oompa Loompa, Mamo was a Wonka Chocolate Bar, Oo-hoo was Grandpa Joe, Matthew was Charlie, Ashley was Mrs. Beauregarde, Lori was Mrs. Gloop, Kelsey was Violet Beauregarde, Marcus was Mike TV, McKayden was an Oopma Loompa, and I was Veruca Salt. So we had the whole cast there!

We had yummy Taco Soup and other scary treats! What a great night to all be together. Here are some pictures from the night:

On another note that has nothing to do with Halloween, I FINALLY finished Breaking Dawn! It took me almost 5 months thanks to school to finish it but I thought it was a pretty good book. I wont go into detail of what happened since some may not have read it and I don't want to ruin anything, but I thought it was a good ending. There's more I'd like to see expanded and find out how it happens, but I'm pleased with how it all ended. Now I need to go and read the first 12 chapters that's online of the Midnight Sun or whatever that book is called that's all in Edward's perspective.

There's only a month and like two weeks left of school and I am so ready to be done! I have loved this semester though and the new friends I have made and the classes I've taken. Is it Thanksgiving yet because I'm ready for that break!
